Grandmaster Ip Chun

Grandmaster Prof. Dr. Ip Chun, was the longtime Wing Chun teacher of Venerable Chi Sim in Hong Kong.

Grandmaster Ip Chun is the son of the most famous Kung Fu grandmaster of the 20th century, Ip Man, who has also taught the King of Kung Fu and actor Bruce Lee.

Sifu Ip Chun was born in 1924 and is now 95 years old. He began studying Wing Chun directly through his father as a child. Sifu Ip Chun has taught seminars worldwide for decades but retired from active frequent teaching about 10 years ago. He has been honoured with a professor title and doctoral degree for his achievements in Wing Chun, and is still a guest on numerous programs on Chinese and Hong Kong television. As an actor he took several roles, most recently in the films Ip Man Zero and "The Grandmaster". 

Venerable Chi Sim became a direct disciple of Grandmaster Ip Chun over 20 years ago and has been learning from him since. Under his permission, Venerable Chi Sim was awarded the Sifu title in Hong Kong.
