Wing Chun for children

Tao Chan Wing Chun is very suitable for children. Minimum age for Children Tao Chan Wing Chun is 6-7 years. That minimum age is required because we also teach a lot of theory and the child should be able to pass written examinations and should have a degree of maturity, which is not yet sufficiently available by younger children and Tao Chan Wing Chun should be not a substitute for a kindergarten. There are many other Wing Tsun organizations offering children courses for too young children just to make money.

Starting from the age of 13, a child or teenager can already participate in the full program of Tao Chan Wing Chun for adults or, if he / she was previously in the Children Tao Chan Wing Chun course continue in the adult Tao Chan Wing Chun.

The Tao Chan Wing Chun for children includes a version of the original Tao Chan Wing Chun that has been adjusted to avoid too dangerous techniques, as well as age-appropriate role-playing games, fitness exercises, and behavioural and ethical instruction. It also incorporates ethical values from Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, but without making the child a Buddhist, Taoist or Confucian. A certain openness of parents to other cultures and philosophies, however, is a prerequisite for a successful participation of the child in the course.
