Tao Chan Wing Chun Anthem - Song of Eternal Spring
The Tao Chan Wing Chun Organization is the only and first Wing Chun lineage in the world which has its own anthem. It follows the tradition of many Buddhist organizations in China, who also have an anthem to support their values.
The Eternal Spring Tao Chan anthem was composed by the founder of Tao Chan Wing Chun, Abbot Chi Sim, in memory of his direct predecessor in both the Wing Chun and the Shaolin Chan lineages. Abbot Chi Sim designed the lyrics on his own and combined them with the music of a Buddhist hymn by Prof. Dr. Victor Wee from Malaysia, one of the most famous Buddhist musicians and lay Buddhists in the world - with his permission. The anthem describes the state of Wing Chun in the world, which is often marked by commerce, envy, pride and egoism, which, in contrast to the traditional values of Buddhism, stands for selflessness, compassion and cooperation and is the main objective of the Tao Chan Wing Chun Organization is to rebuild these values in Wing Chun, regardless of how long it will take and how much resistance there will be.
